FAQ for our Single Muslim Marriage Events
Q: Who are our events aimed at?
A: It's aimed at single Muslim professionals from any background, aged between 21 - 49 and primarily based in the UK
Q: What is the format of your event?
A: 3 phases, registeration - soft drinks on arrival, speach on Islamic marriage, formal seated rotations, chance to speak to everyone for short period and lastly dinner followed by a return to the informal meetings.
Q: What information will be disclosed to others?
A: Information disclosed will be NAME, AGE-RANGE, OCCUPATION, purely as a ID for fellow guests. All other personal information will remain with the event organisers, we have a policy of non-disclosure unless mutual consent is reached at the end of the event.
Q: Why is there a need for your services?
A: To put it plainly this is due to other channels not working, i.e. traditional family routes, marriage sites, other formal marriage events... Allah (swt) has given us all the time and energy and indeed skills and knowledge to utilise and help one another.
Q: Will there be an equal ratio of males and females?
A: Yes Inshallah there will be equal ratio on both sides example: - 30-30
Q: What will happen at the event?
A: Our muslim marriage events are not meant to be a series of talks or a seminar. It is expected that those who attend will either be actively looking to get married or be an accompanying relative of someone who is. The emphasis will be on getting people together rather than simply looking for bad points in individuals. (Strictly no time wasters) More information on the format of our events can be found on our events page.
Q: Will dinner be provided?
A: Yes, a three course meal and drinks will be provided.
Q: Is there a charge and why?
A: Yes. We only choose the best quality venues and supply all attendees with
a quality buffet and refreshments. We also invest a lot in advertising the
events, and the staff required to ensure the events are well organised, kept
safe and halal.
The costs cover all the day-to-day running of the service, further development and marketing (which runs into £1,000's) to make sure that we attract the very best in Muslim singles for you to choose from.
We aim to organise high-quality events but we are only able to do this by charging a nominal fee. Bearing in mind the average Muslim wedding cost, we believe this is great value for money. We would love to provide completely free events but we have a lot of overheads to account for.
Q: I feel that I am not practising, can I still come?
A: Yes you can and you are more than welcome. It won't be a room full of just hijabis or bearded guys wearing shalwars. We would rather you participated in this event than have to meet a partner in a place unfamiliar to you
Q: Will you organise more events?
A: Definitely yes, if you have attended before or are on our mailing list then will contact you but you should not depend solely on marriage events. We also recommend trying other channels like marriage agencies, friends, mosques and Muslim organisations.
